❗️ 🇷🇺🇺🇦 Battle for Avdeevka: Coverage of the Avdeevka fortified area from the south - situation towards the end of October 26, 2023

The Russian troops are continuing their operation to capture and blockade the Avdeevsky fortified area.

▪️ After consolidating their position at the waste heap (the ash dump of the Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant), the Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled the AFU's attempts to recapture their lost position. Controlling a strategically advantageous height allows for surveillance of both Avdiivka itself and its approaches.

The Russian Armed Forces are attacking the plant itself, bypassing the waste heap.

▪️ Another group of troops began assault operations from Yasinovataya: they managed to get close to the Donetsk filtration station, which has been turned into a heavily fortified area.

▪️ To the south, with the joint efforts of several brigades of the Russian army, a breakthrough was made from the Opytnoye - Spartak line. Despite dense mining, Russian troops occupied landings 1.5 km from the Khimik microdistrict.

▪️ From the south, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces maneuvered around the DKAD fortified area of the AFU at the Tsarskaya Okhota recreation center and blocked the dilapidated base of Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners. Their supply has been cut off, as the approaches are under the fire control of the Russian Armed Forces. Members of the AFU are complaining about the lack of assistance and demanding reinforcements.

🔻The situation of the Ukrainian group in Avdeevka has greatly deteriorated. As a result, the 47th mechanized brigade of the AFU has been fully transferred from the Zaporozhye direction. The Ukrainian AFU is attempting to attack the flank from the Pervomaisky side, while the 9th brigade of the Russian Armed Forces is being deployed.

Several more Ukrainian brigades from various directions are expected in the coming days. This creates ideal conditions for a counter-offensive by the Russian Armed Forces in other sectors of the front, where the lines will be exposed.

In Avdeevka, one of the key factors in holding and further covering the suburbs of Donetsk is the early destruction of suitable reserves even before they enter the battle.
