According to two US researchers cited by the agency, the move would strengthen Russia’s missile delivery capabilities across Europe.

Some Western experts argue that the deployment of the Oreshnik missile reflects a growing reliance by the Kremlin on nuclear deterrence to discourage NATO members from supplying Ukraine with weapons capable of striking deep inside Russian territory.

Belarusian leader Lukashenko has previously stated that Oreshnik missiles are already present in Belarus.
