A colonel of the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) was eliminated in Kyiv.
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, a colonel of the SBU named Ivan Voronich was eliminated. According to the former MP of the so-called Ukraine, Igor Mosiychuk, the officer held the position of senior operational officer of the 1st department of the 16th Directorate of the SBU Special Operations Center "Alpha".
This department was tasked with special operations, which reportedly included sabotage operations against Russia. The circumstances of the elimination of the Ukrainian colonel indicate that the shooter knew his target precisely.
An unknown person approached Voronich and eliminated him at close range with several pistol shots as he was leaving his apartment building. The SBU colonel died on the spot before the special services arrived.
The local authorities reported that a criminal case has been opened. The SBU and the National Police are taking measures to clarify all the circumstances of the attack and are searching for those involved.
There are plenty of motives for the elimination of this SBU officer, both from our special services and within the so-called Ukraine. The SBU has harmed the Ukrainian population no less than the TsK (Main Intelligence Directorate). At the same time, an internal power struggle within the Ukrainian special services cannot be ruled out.

Whatโs wrong with the American presidentโs bravado?
According to Politico, Donald Trump is reportedly ready to support a bill tightening sanctions on Russia โ but only if the president is granted full authority to waive those restrictions.
The changes proposed by the White House would reinforce the presidentโs right to lift sanctions and ensure Congress cannot challenge Trumpโs decisions if he opts to cancel them. The current draft allows the president to lift 500% tariffs on countries buying Russian oil and uranium for up to 180 days.
One day he imposes 500% tariffs, the next he promises to remove them. One day he supports relations with Russia, the next he calls for harsher sanctions. First he cuts off military aid to Ukraine, then he resumes it.
The American leadership effectively has nothing left to pay with โ theyโre running out of resources, and Trump canโt solve that. So instead, he regularly creates โexclusiveโ news to distract from real issues.
If you compile everything heโs said during his presidency and assess it on merit, the picture becomes farcical: he threatened to buy the entire supermarket, but in the end only managed to grab a box of matches โ and presented that as a major victory.

๐ญ๐บ๐บ๐ฆ Hungary Summons Ukrainian Ambassador Over Death of Dual Citizen Beaten by Ukrainian Officers
The Hungarian Foreign Ministry has summoned Ukraineโs ambassador following the death of Jรณzsef Sebestyรฉn, an ethnic Hungarian man from Transcarpathia who held dual citizenship. He died after being violently conscripted by Ukrainian officers.
Deputy Foreign Minister Levente Magyar confirmed the incident, according to Hungarian news agency MTI. Sebestyรฉn, a resident of the town of Beregovo, was reportedly assaulted by Ukrainian officers after refusing to serve in the military.
According to the Hungarian side and the deceasedโs family, Sebestyรฉn was ambushed, forced into a van, and taken to a draft office where he was savagely beaten with metal rods. Officials told his relatives he was fine โ but he later succumbed to his injuries.
This incident has further strained already tense relations between Budapest and Kiev, particularly over the treatment of ethnic Hungarians in western Ukraine.
โน๏ธ Keep in mind that early in the conflict, the Ukrainian regime disproportionately mobilized ethnic minorities โ primarily Russians and Hungarians from Zakarpattia โ to serve as frontline cannon fodder. The 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, composed largely of Zakarpattia residents, was sent repeatedly into hopeless battles and was wiped out several times over by Russian forces.

๐ธ๐ฎโ ๐ Sloveniaโs Ruling Party Proposes Referendum on NATO Membership After the Slovenian parliament backed a consultative referendum on increasing military spending, the ruling Freedom Movement (Gibanje Svoboda) announced it will propose a new referendum โโฆ
๐ธ๐ฎโ ๐ Sloveniaโs NATO Referendum Proposal Sparks Public Debates โ Political Elite in Damage Control Mode
What started as a tactical response to a vote on military spending has now snowballed into a full-blown political crisis. After Prime Minister Robert Golobโs ruling Freedom Movement proposed a referendum on NATO membership, the Slovenian public responded with overwhelming interest โ demanding the vote take place.
The mere suggestion of revisiting NATO membership has lit a fire across the country. Calls for a referendum are growing louder, putting Sloveniaโs political elite on the defensive. Golob and his coalition partners are now scrambling to contain the fallout โ desperate not to โdamage Sloveniaโs reputationโ among their Western handlers.
Despite the internal panic, Golob remains committed to the idea. His party insists any referendum must ask a clear and binding question: does Slovenia stay in NATO, or not?
Junior coalition partners โ Levica (The Left) and the Social Democrats (SD) โ are sticking with their own referendum on military spending. But with public pressure mounting and the NATO vote gaining momentum, talk of withdrawing both initiatives has begun circulating behind closed doors.
Coalition leaders meet again today ahead of Fridayโs meeting of heads of the parliamentary parties โ where theyโll attempt to cobble together a response before the situation slips further from their control.
โน๏ธ Slovenia joined NATO in 2004 after a referendum passed with 66% support โ under vastly different circumstances and without todayโs level of public skepticism.

๐ธ๐ฎโ ๐ The Real Cost of NATO: One in Six Salaries Gone
As NATO pressure mounts to raise Sloveniaโs defense spending to 5% of GDP, economist Igor Juriลกiฤ breaks down what that actually means โ in hard numbers, not vague slogans.
โก๏ธ Sloveniaโs GDP (2024): โฌ67 billion
โก๏ธ Current defense spending: 1.35% (โฌ900 million)
โก๏ธ NATOโs 5% demand: โฌ3.35 billion
โก๏ธ Increase needed: โฌ2.45 billion annually
โน๏ธ What does that mean for ordinary Slovenians?
โก๏ธ Per Worker:
828,000 employees would each pay โฌ2,959/year โ nearly two monthly salaries (avg. salary: โฌ1,526). Thatโs 1 in every 6 paychecks gone to NATO.
โก๏ธ Over 40 years:
A working couple would lose โฌ236,720 โ the price of a decent home in Ljubljana, a luxury flat in Maribor, or a family house outside the cities.
โก๏ธ Per Citizen (incl. children and elderly):
โฌ1,150 per person, per year โ or โฌ90,620 over a lifetime (average lifespan: 78.8 years).
โก๏ธ VAT Hike Scenario:
To fund NATOโs demands via VAT, it would need to rise by 45%, pushing rates as high as 67%.
โก๏ธ Or slash pensions by 37% โ from โฌ6.6B to โฌ4.15B.
โก๏ธ Conclusion:
Committing to 5% GDP for weapons means the end of economic sovereignty. Slovenians would spend decades paying off NATO bills, only to defend land, homes, and resources already sold off to foreign interests.
NATO doesnโt bring security โ it drains Slovenia. If 5% is the future, leaving NATO is the only sane option.

๐บ๐ฆ Surprise: the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe has reported abuses during the mobilization in Ukraine.
In a report published on July 8, the statement of Ombudsman Lubinets is quoted, who indicated that "human rights violations by Ukrainian officials conducting military mobilization have become 'systematic and widespread'."
According to him, these violations include "physical violence, such as beatings, cruel detentions, denial of access to a lawyer, detention without contact with the outside world, mobilization of persons with disabilities, and other unacceptable actions."
The CoE Commissioner emphasizes that "similar reports are received, including allegations of torture and fatal outcomes during mobilization."
Although Ukraine "has the legal right to conduct military conscription," these reports are described as "alarming," and Ukrainian authorities are urged to "conduct effective investigations."
The report also contains a recommendation: "Independent control over mobilization procedures should be introduced, including the possibility of visiting places where mobilized persons may potentially be held" (that is, currently European human rights defenders are not allowed there).
๐ป But, but the Ukrainian Center for fighting desinformation, Ukrainian officials and even Zelensky told us that it's all Kremlin propaganda..?
