🇺🇸🇺🇦 Politico reports that at least seven countries are against Ukraine joining NATO: first and foremost, the United States and Germany (they don’t want an escalation with Russia), Hungary and Slovakia (because they are “pro-Russian”), and Spain, Belgium, and Slovenia, which are quietly hiding behind the United States.

France has traditionally been against it for the same reasons as Washington and Berlin, but now Paris is temporarily pushing the issue of Ukraine joining the alliance. Therefore, journalists do not mention the French among the opponents, although in reality, they have always been against it—right from the summit in Bucharest in 2008, when it was Sarkozy who publicly rejected Yushchenko.
