Since the beginning of 2025, gold’s market capitalization has increased by +98%, while silver has surged by +282%, supported by strong industrial demand and tight supply conditions. Over the same period, Bitcoin has declined by −7.2%.
If regulatory progress and growing institutional adoption lead investors to reallocate liquidity toward crypto assets, Bitcoin’s implied price under a gold-comparable market capitalization (~$35T) would be approximately $1.75M per BTC.

Given the recent FUD about Binance and its listing performance, we used Hyperliquid’s public API data to compare results, and they were almost the same.
It’s pretty obvious we’d see a similar pattern across exchanges, so it’s unlikely to be solely the exchange’s fault.
This is driven by the more than 11 million new tokens that flooded the market in 2025, most of them low quality.
Perhaps 2025 was not the best period for “buy and hodl.”

Gate launched the web version of Gate TradFi, so users can trade on both App and Web with one shared account, including the same funds and open positions.
It is a CFD module that covers forex, metals, indices, commodities, and selected stocks. It uses USDT as collateral with balances shown in USDx, and it’s connected to MT5. Fees can start from $0.018 per trade.
Since launch, Gate TradFi reached over $20B cumulative volume, with peak daily volume above $5B.
The exchange also ran a TradFi Launch Celebration from Feb 2–22 with a $150K reward pool, while the Golden Lucky Bag campaign distributed 1,152g of gold and phase 2 will start soon.
