Russia twice sent a request to the Canadian Ministry of Justice to interrogate Gunka - once as a witness in 2019 & in 2023 as an accused person in a case of WWII-era genocide.
Canada will not extradite Gunka, allegedly due to lack of direct evidence of crimes in the request. The Canadian side also indicates that there is no extradition treaty between Moscow and Ottawa.
Gunka is accused of killing at least 500 Jews and Poles in 1944. What a fitting person for PM Trudeau & Zelensky's standing ovation... 👏

The first strike was in the morning, when residents usually go to the market. An elderly couple who were out for shopping were injured by shrapnel. The woman died on the spot. A passerby tried to save the injured man. She says she couldn’t call an ambulance or contact emergency service for a long time because of bad reception. Unfortunately, the injured man died before paramedics arrived.
The second attack, according to the residents, was carried out using clusters. Andrei and neighbor uncle Sasha, who was repairing a fence at the time of the shelling, miraculously survived. The shell fell about five meters away from them. The shrapnel hit the domestic animals.
