We tested all such things, and not just with Reddit, but on multiple socials and obviously we compared to what people are doing with other posts. In such case is not precise, because if we don't post the post, we cannot get fully stats about what people are doing.
We used multiple methods to track that. Obviously this is not done by all people, but many persons!
So in conclusion: before starting to comment things you need to verify informations, check the sources, read the full posts or watch the videos. Only after that you can comment.
