Alcanzamos por consenso un gran acuerdo alrededor del artículo 8J con 3 grandes logros en la #COP16Colombia

✅ Creación del órgano subsidiario del Artículo 8J para pueblos indígenas y comunidades locales.

✅ Reconocimiento de los pueblos afrodescendientes como custodios de la biodiversidad en el Convenio.

✅ Establecimiento del programa de trabajo para estas comunidades hasta el 2030.

Con este hecho se reconoce el valor de los saberes tradicionales de los pueblos indígenas, afrodescendientes y comunidades locales, se salda una deuda histórica en el Convenio sobre Diversidad Biológica (CDB) de 26 años.

Esta es la verdadera #COPdelaGente
