Scientists gathered one decade of @esa_swarm data to picture how Earth's magnetic field is changing.

What did they find?

- The global structure of Earth's magnetic field is changing quite slowly, over temporal scales of years to decades.

- There is a jet stream under the Bering strait moving three times faster than the core!

- There is an occasional disturbance in the core liquid that causes waves in Earth’s magnetic field. Understanding these waves better can help forecast future fluctuations in Earth’s magnetic field.
