This week we said goodbye to one of our oldest satellites.

After almost 29 years in space, @esa's second European Remote Sensing, ERS-2, reentered Earth's atmosphere over the North Pacific Ocean.

The satellite returned at 18:17 CET (17:17 UTC) between Alaska and Hawaii.

Thank you for your service, ERS-2.
