Combining Marine Science with satellite data! 🛰️

Student researchers in the UK have been learning how to use @CopernicusEU #Sentinels data for applied projects in Marine Science.

By using freely accessible data from the @CopernicusEU #Sentinel1 and #Sentinel2 missions, the students trained neural models to detect Sargassum invasions, used machine learning methods to automate vessel traffic monitoring, and #Sentinel1 SAR images to detect internal waves off the Similan Island chain.
