The Solar Ultraviolet Imager (#SUVI) on #GOESEast captured a strong solar flare on the Sun today. According to @NWSSWPC, SUVI measured an X3.3 flare that peaked at 7:14 am CST (1314 UTC) as seen in this animation of FE 131 images, acquired every 4 minutes from 1302 to 1514 UTC.
