TERI and @PIK_Climate hosted a side event at the ongoing #COP30 in Belém, Brazil, on November 18, 2025, themed, ‘The Climate-Development Nexus: Equity, Development and Finance in Net Zero Pathways’.

The event brought together experts from the energy modelling community in developed and developing countries to understand the development, equity, and financial implications of net-zero transition pathways for the global economy and national economies, drawing from two multi-country decarbonisation projects – ELEVATE and NEWPATHWAYS.

It also offered perspectives on strategies for financing these transition pathways, including international cooperation, innovative instruments, and political brokerages. The discussion featured insights from @DrVibhaDhawan, DG, TERI, and Dr @manishipta, Associate Director, TERI.
