This @CopernicusEU Sentinel-2 image shows part of Oruro’s high plain, which stretches nearly 1 000 km from Peru into Bolivia.

About 40 000 years ago this was one vast lake. Today, the landscape features the Coipasa salt flat (bottom-left), Lake Poopó (centre) and Lake Uru Uru (north).
