It’s now ready for its mission, which is set to launch this summer, offering a wealth of new meteorological data to improve daily weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and atmospheric studies. ✨

The integration of MetOp-SG A was completed with the installation of 6 instruments including:
➡️ The Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer – New Generation (IASI-NG). Integrated in partnership with the French Space Agency (@CNES), IASI-NG will be four times more accurate than its predecessor, providing data for weather forecasting, pollution monitoring and climate research. 🌦️
➡️ Copernicus Sentinel-5 - Ultraviolet Visible Near-infrared Short-wave infrared Spectrometer (UVNS Spectrometer), one of the so-called “atmospheric sentinels”, contributing to the improved monitoring of air quality, changes in the ozone layer and emissions from wildfires. 🌍
