After exploiting the 2022 energy crisis to make record profits, #ENI today once again announced multibillion-dollar profits (8.2 billion) and dividends for its shareholders.

All this while the exploitation of fossil fuels at the heart of its business contributes to leaving the planet and all of us with one dividend: climate hell that results in deaths and unbearable social and economic costs.

Despite constant #greenwashing attempts, ENI continues to invest mainly in fossil fuels such as gas, disregarding the need to transition to renewables to keep warming within 1.5ºC and prevent the worst impacts of the climate crisis.

This is why 12 Italian citizens, @ReCommon and @Greenpeace_ITA have taken ENI to court for the first civil climate litigation against a company ever conducted in Italy.

ENI must be held accountable for contributing to the climate crisis and must revise its business strategy to comply with the Paris Agreement, and respect human rights. #climatejustucenow #stopdrillingstartpaying
