Thanks to @CopernicusEU’s Sentinel-5P data, scientists tracked methane emissions from sources that release the gas almost continuously, like wetlands, oil fields, and coal mines.

📈Given methane's rising concentration in the atmosphere, monitoring emissions is key to understanding methane's role in global warming.
