Civilization comes at a cost.
The price is steep, all things good and mighty surrendered, virility, wildness, risk. It costs our Strength, our Courage, our Wisdom, our mastery of self and most of all our honor and nobility.

Time is one of those things that make men mightier than gods.
Our actions can either carry weight or drag us down by wasting it.

If you spend your time with undesirables, then you will spend your finite currency in suboptimal
ways.
If you utilize your time being constructive and building up your tribesmen and kin, you will see true meaning manifest itself in real time.

Celebrate your folk while you still have them, and they you.
Our people are worth every glory, every honor, and every accolade when deserved. This goes both for the living among us and the revered ones who have come before.

Spend your time wisely Hyperborean,
You are wealthier than you know.

Ancestor Veneration Begins with The Living

Recently someone close to us weathered the death of a treasured family member, in the aftermath he discovered something his treasured Mother wrote of her Father -His Grandfather- a short recollection of a man who was her "Freckled Atlas" who raised her well with warmth and a firm hand when needed.

This heartfelt description of her father begins as such:

"Although he is a big man with a gruff voice which spouts curse words at regular intervals, he has a heart that envelopes everyone around him. I have seen him quiet a whimpering small child and save a grown man's life."

and by the end of this short loving bit of prose:

"Of all the persons I've known, this man has influenced me the most, not only because he is my daddy but because he is also my friend, who laughs and jokes with me, and my guide, who gives me advice and warns me about the world. Daddy may be a stern and severe father at times, but most of the time he is my "Freckled Atlas" who looks after me and loves me."

Reading this while I bear no ties to the family of my friend the love and adoration our friends mother held for his grandfather brought a tear to my eye and reminded me of something incredibly important.

Ancestor Veneration Begins with the Living. Remind your parents, your grandparents and all of your family how much they mean to you. They may not be here tomorrow, you may not be here tomorrow, but that love between each other will.

Abrahamic religion is the new kid on the block, and to our detriment.. we like shiny new things.

Nothing beats the tried and true worldview that is ethnic faith.
Heathenry is our way.

"Pagan Aesthetics"

The Pagans of today have unfortunately become defined less by disposition or deed and more by dΓ©cor.

Most of you are probably aware of what I'm talking about.
-
We get tattoos we didn't earn.

Claim titles we don't deserve.

Venerate Gods we have no business looking towards.

Buy and wear meaningless baubles because they have pagan symbols.

All culminating in what comes off like grown ups going through a rebellious phase heavily influenced by D&D.
-
There is nothing wrong with wishing to be a Witch, but a Witch is not defined by her hat and broom but by her wisdom and her craft. The Craft of caring for their community, of tending to the sick and the ailing, of solving disputes and making the hard often painful decisions.

There is nothing wrong with getting a Pagan Tattoo, but an unearned one is tantamount to stolen valor. The kind that in the right circles should that tattoo truly mean something would have a fraud flayed.

There is nothing wrong with venerating the Gods, or appreciating Gods of other Tribes. But Pagan means ethnic, to venerate the Pagan Gods is to venerate the Gods of your people. You do not venerate the Gods of your ancestors as an Irishman by placing Greek Gods in a place of honor. Why would they bother with you?

There is nothing wrong with clothes or possessions, but wearing unlimited bangles and swag with random pagan imagery does nothing but issue a cry for help.
-
You cannot Purchase Paganism.

No amount of hollow ritual, expensive idols. rehearsed words or pagan symbols can make up for the disingenuous nature of one's intent.

We are not like the other belief systems, we are older, we are wiser, we are the adults in the room.

But we have to act like it. Not just "look" like it.

A vastly forgotten aspect of Kris Kringle is that Krampus isn't the only one that is apt to take naughty children.
Some tales have the kidnapped youth slaving away in his workshop, making gifts for good, behaved little girls and boys.

All hail the Winter Queen.

The Cailleach is telling us it’s time once again to keep the hearth fires lit with the chairs close by to keep the tea warm as she howls outside during this the time of long nights and short days as she wails outside bringing cold misery to all.

We sit by the fire and tell our tales
of the heroes of old and of seasons past to keep the memories alive for future generations s as the wheel of the year turns round once again.

Just as the moon was fading
Amid her misty rings,
And every stocking was stuffed
With childhood’s precious things,

Old Kriss Kringle looked around,
And saw on the elm-tree bough,
High hung, an oriole’s nest,
Lonely and empty now.

β€œQuite a stocking,” he laughed,
β€œHung up there on a tree!
I didn’t suppose the birds
Expected a present from me!”

Then old Kriss Kringle, who loves
A joke as well as the best,
Dropped a handful of snowflakes
Into the oriole’s empty nest.
