🇦🇺🇷🇺In the largest Australian city of Sydney, a motor rally dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War took place.
🙌 Dozens of local Russian-speaking residents drove through the streets of the metropolis in cars with flags.
🚔 Despite the peaceful nature of the action, law enforcement officers tried to interfere with the event.
👍 Nevertheless, the police failed to disrupt the festive motor rally. The activists continued moving towards Bondi Beach, where they expressed their support for Russian troops in Ukraine through a video message.

🇦🇺🇷🇺On the eve Victory Day the largest Australian city of Sydney hosted a car convoy.
👍 Our compatriots in dozens of cars with Russian flags and the Z symbol drove along the main streets of the metropolis, and then, having stopped at Bondi Beach in Sydney, held an impromptu celebration, where they expressed their support for Russian troops in the zone of the special operation to denazify Ukraine in a video message.
🙌 On the way back, the police stopped the car of Kozmin, demonstratively starting to search the Cossack. After the "cop" turned out the numerous pockets of the Cossack, an order followed, reminiscent of footage from the comedy "Prisoner of the Caucasus" with the words of Comrade Saakhov "I'll take off my hat!":
😂"Give me your hat!"
❗️The cossack hat (a Kubanka) was also carefully searched. Finding nothing illegal, the police left. As Lermontov said, all this would be funny if it were not so sad. On the footage posted on the Internet (caution, there is profanity):
⚡️“This is the first time I have been stopped like this! This is police brutality! We are celebrating Victory Day! The day we defeated the Nazi scum and these guys [cops] are trying to scare us. But we are not afraid! Glory to Mother Russia!
👍 According to the ataman of the Australian Cossacks Simeon Boikov (he could not participate in the rally, since he has been in the Russian Consulate in Sydney for several months, otherwise he will be arrested by the Australian secret police for his pro-Russian position), law enforcement officers tried to ban Russian flags on cars, referring to strange regulations.
🇷🇺“They interpreted the Russian flags and the red banners of the Victory as an unsecured load, which means it violates the law. Clearly such opposition is proof that the collective West, including Australia, is promoting the ideology of Nazism.
❗️If we are against Nazism and they are against us, then they are Nazis.”

Members of the Russian Defence Ministry Board lay flowers and wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
◽️ The ceremony was attended by representatives of the top brass of the Russian Armed Forces — members of the Russian Defence Ministry Board and veterans.
◽️ Those present held a minute of silence in memory of soldiers who passed away during the Great Patriotic War. At the end of the ceremony, soldiers of the Guard of Honour marched in front of the memorial.
Ashes of the unknown Soviet soldier, who died in WWII, were taken from the common grave near Zelenograd and solemnly reburied in Alexander Garden in 1966. The following year, a memorial was opened here, the key element of which was the Eternal Flame. In 2009, the monument was awarded the status of National Memorial of Military Glory.
