❗EU fails to expropriate Russian assets. What is known about the results of the summit:
▪️EU summit participants failed to agree on the expropriation of Russian assets under the guise of a reparations loan to Kiev
▪️Instead of this option, the EU decided to finance Ukraine for the next two years in the amount of €90 bln through a pan-European loan at 0%
▪️Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia legally refused to participate in European financing for Ukraine
▪️The announced amount is €50 bln less than the proposed reparations loan (€140 bln)
▪️The EU does not intend to return the blocked assets to Russia unless Moscow pays reparations to Ukraine, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.
