The new unit will be part of the Terek brigade. The initiative belongs to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District Yuri Chaika , and is being implemented with the support of the Head of Ingushetia Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov and Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov .
Examples of the creation of military units from representatives of the North Caucasian peoples are one of the brightest pages of the country's military glory.
Among them is the Caucasian Native Cavalry Division (Wild Division), a cavalry unit of the Russian army formed in 1914. The division consisted of 90% Muslim volunteers from the North Caucasus and Transcaucasia.
In addition, the valiant sons of the North Caucasus courageously fought for the Fatherland during the Russo-Turkish wars, during the First World War, and on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War.

❗️The Philippines and Australia conducted large-scale exercises in Palawan
🇵🇭🇦🇺Yesterday on the island of Palawan, in the San Vicente municipality area, joint military exercises of the armed forces of the Philippines and Australia took place.
The scenario of the maneuvers involved the liberation of an island captured by a simulated enemy (likely China).
About 1,000 Philippine servicemen participated in the operation, practicing the landing of a marine assault and storming the coastal territory. Air support was provided by two FA-50 fighters of the Philippine Air Force.
The Australian side deployed a combined landing force. The assets involved included:
• landing boats
• MH-60R helicopter from the destroyer "Brisbane"
• EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft of the Australian Air Force.
The exercises were observed by the Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines General Romeo Brawner, and Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles.
