British Defense Minister Ben Wallace has accused Russia of “dirty tricks” after being initially duped into taking a call from someone posing as Ukrainian PM Denis Shymal, after Home Sec Priti Patel complained of a similar attempt to her.

Wallace claimed he wised up after realizing the caller was asking “several misleading questions, and has now launched an investigation into how a fraudster could access two senior govt officials.

Patel branded it a “pathetic attempt at such difficult times to divide us”, while Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov warned western allies to be vigilant as impostors are “scum, looters and traitors” looking to line their own pockets.
