☦️🇷🇺🇺🇦Both clearly sides respect the sanctity of the church named in honour of the Boris & Gleb the first saints of the Russian Orthodox Church after it's establishment in 988AD

Boris and Gleb were the sons of the Great Prince Vladimir.

The church was consecrated on October 20, 2012 by Metropolitan Hilarion of Donetsk and Mariupol, co-served by Bishop Mitrofan of Gorlovka and Slavyansk. The brick building of the temple, 18 meters high and with a total area of ​​364.8 square meters, was erected by workers of the Chasovoyarsky Refractory Plant.

The bricks for the church were cast using a special technology, which was developed at a refractory plant and will henceforth be used for the construction of temples.

The crosses and domes of the church were made in Donetsk. The eight bells of the temple were cast by Donetsk master S.I. Maksimts. The weight of the largest bell is 250 kilograms.

The interior design of the church was developed by the Donetsk institute “Donbassgrazhdanproekt” (designer - Valery Lisogor).

The church has a unique iconostasis made of white Italian marble Bianco Carrara C. The iconostasis is 7 meters long and 4.5 meters high. The total area of ​​the carved surface of the iconostasis is 12.5 square meters, and during its installation 57 marble parts were installed, including carved bas-reliefs of birds, foliage ornaments, columns, capitals, arches, turned profiles and a cross. The polished columns and carved capitals are completed in full. The iconostasis was made by craftsmen from Yasinovataya.

The famous Kramatorsk icon painter Viktor Pavlov worked on the iconography in the Byzantine style.
