Overall, our estimates of GHG emissions from food systems account for 35% of global total anthropogenic GHG emissions. Production-based GHG emissions 185 from plant-based food amount to 5,109 ± 1,436 TgCO2eq yr−1, 186 which is 29%. Production-based GHG emissions from animal-based food are 9,796±850TgCO2eqyr−1, which are 57%. roughly 16% and 17% of global total GHG emissions were transferred among regions due to the import and export of food, here plant- and animal-based food.
The most prominent emitting regions for animal food production are SA (14% of total food-related emissions), SSEA (9%) and CM (8%) (Fig. 2a). China (8%) in CM, Brazil (6%) in SA, the United States (5%) in North America (NA) and India (4%) in SSEA are the countries with leading GHG emissions from the production of animal-based foods (Fig. 4).
South and Southeast Asia (SSEA) have emitted the greatest food-production-related emissions (23%). However, this region has low per-capita emissions and is the only one where plant-based emissions are larger than animal-based emissions. South America (SA) is the second-largest emitter (20%) and has the largest emissions from animal-based food.
SSEA and China and Mongolia (CM) are the top GHG-contributing regions for plant-based food production and contribute 11% and 6%, respectively, of total food-related GHG emissions.

🥑 The biggest problem of various vegans (not all)? They act like kids, fixed with their ideas like a 🪨, they see / pretend just 0 or 💯, they promote some wrongly facts like scientific facts and they batch dislike things, not matter if you are defending them too (like they are doing in the last days with us). They see a video with a bodybuilder eating meat without reading the comments at all and they consider such content as bad, just because someone is eating meat ...
@VeganFactsTelegram by not Vegans from both point of views using facts, not bullshits. To be honest we eat almost no meat anymore after our gym injury quitting the bodybuilding journey.
The sad point? With such behaviour they are not helping animals at all!
This is why various dietitian we know hate to help vegans, because is a one way talk with no discussion option. Again, not all act in such way! No matter that, we will still defend vegans and a vegan diet, if facts support that.
